HKTA Junior Squad Training

It is the vision of the Hong Kong Tennis Association through Junior Squad Training to build up a broad base of tennis-playing youngsters in Hong Kong and to provide quality coaching to aspiring young players. The Squad training also serves as a major channel through which talents are identified and promoted to join the training at higer levels.

The HKTA Junior Development Programme is designed to nurture and benefit thousands of budding tennis players in the territory through a six-tiered hierarchy, comprising Mini-Tennis, Grassroot Tennis, HKTA Junior Squad, Talent Group, National Squad/Elite, and finally the Hong Kong National Team at the apex (see diagram at the bottom of this page).

The main objective of the programme is to provide quality training to players who are selected from the talent identification programmes and to nurture them for further development, helping them realize their maximum potential.
